Gifts for the Bridal Party

So you have chosen your bridesmaids, maid of honor, groomsmen, ushers, best man, flower girl, and ring bearer, but have you chosen gifts for your bridal party? The perfect way to thank your bridal party is to give them a well thought out gift that accentuates the personality traits of those closest to your heart. A bridal party gift should be one that you have thought seriously about but that will also please each member of the party. There is so much to choose from when it comes to gifts for the bridal party and can range from jewelry, watches, totes, clothing, or more personalized items that your best friends and closest relatives will treasure for years to come.

Remember, while it is perfectly fine to stick with the traditional bridal party gifts - personalized golf balls for the guys and monogrammed pajamas for the girls, it is also a lot of fun to go shopping with each member of the wedding party in mind. Who says you have to buy the same thing for each person? Why give the best man a set of personalized golf balls when he doesn't even play? Why give your maid of honor a set of pierced earrings when she doesn't wear jewelry? Think about each person before you make your trip to the store and you will be well on your way to giving the best bridal party gifts ever! As long as the gifts for the bridal party come from the heart, you will do fine.

Thinking about the personal interests and tastes of each member of your bridal party is an excellent way to begin the search for their gifts. Some of the most popular (and appreciated) bridal party gifts are based on the interests of the recipient. So, if someone in your wedding party is a movie buff, you might want to think about giving them a boxed DVD set of movies by their favorite director or actor. You may also consider the gift of tickets to the theatre. For the person who is always writing thank you notes, you might want to think about some fine stationary made from linen. For that same person, a silk robe or set of bath towels may also do nicely.

When shopping for gifts for your bridal party, just remember that you wouldn't want to receive something you would just shove in a closet - or worse, regift! Think about the interests and personal tastes of each person in the bridal party and base your gift decisions on that. If you do, both you and your bridal party will enjoy the entire experience.
